The 3rd Week in the Webskills Course..

has now come to an end. With plenty of tasks that added lots of new knowledge to be listed in our teaching profile, this week was really an important event. We were exposed to new topics, as usual, one of which is creating an account in Delicious, and adding our favorite links and sites sharing them with others. The main topic of this week was to discuss Aural and Oral skills, and how to develop teaching them through using technology. In addition, we made another step towards our project for this course, which consists of solving a problem in teaching via using technology.

The readings about Aural/Oral skills were very helpful in supplying us with new techniques and ideal ways of teaching pronunciation and listening. For me, using the Pre-, During-, and Post- listening tasks is really practical and helped me a lot in finding a professional way in teaching listening, about which I was wondering a lot. The sites shared by the colleagues are really beneficial. It is a great idea to have all these teachers sharing their knowledge and experience regarding English language teaching.

It is the first time for me to use Delicious, which is a very interesting site that enables users to save their favorite links, and important sites. It  was a great idea to introduce us to this site, as it makes it so simple and rapid to keep all the interesting links that we pass through.

The task of investigating on of the previous projects and discussing the way it was presented was absolutely useful. This step made us aware about what are we going to do, and how would the project look like finally. It was very helpful in clarifying the purposes, objectives and the final layout of the project.

Till now, everything is going fine. The tasks are clearly stated. The readings and resources are respectively helpful and amazingly informative. The discussions with the other participants are boldly productive and highly valuable. I have a great impression to admit that things will go smoothly till the end of the course!

  1. Hello Khadija, I really liked the way you summarized this week. It is very concise and clear. It seems to be that you are enjoying this course. I really agree with you that Delicious is a very interesting and simple website to keep track of our bookmarks. I hope this coming week may be as meaningful as the previous ones have been.
