Second Week Review

This is the second week in the Webskills E-Teacher course. The first week went successfully, and our grades were very encouraging to go forward with the course's program. In this second step, we were asked to do so many tasks that aim to develop our web searching skills. All the participants were exposed to a new technique of presenting teaching objectives, which is called the ABCD Method. We all put the first stem of our projects for this course by specifying a course that we teach, to which we can then apply the new  technological skills we will acquire through out this course.

The discussions, as usual, are so productive and interesting. In this second week, we had to participate in three different discussion topics in Nicenet, after going through the readings and resources provided. The First topic was about web-searching. It aimed to give us more knowledge about searching engines and the best websites that would help us in better teaching. Using searching engines other than Google changed my mentality about searching in the web. Before, I used to search in so few websites and searching engines, but now, I do have a very long list of amazing resources for better searching in the internet.

The second topic, on the other hand was to examine our ability to use the ABCD Method in determining the objectives of the courses that we teach. This method is really effective for it manifests the objectives in a very informative way through short and simple phrases. For me, I find it so practical to use the ABCD Method. It is a new important knowledge that I have acquired in this course. Another task in this second week was to begin our project for the course. All the participants in the course provided descriptions of the classes that they teach, and shared information about the way they could apply technology in their teaching. The discussions are absolutely productive and encouraging to go forward with this enjoyable course.

I am really impatient to begin the third week!!
